Let me explain: The decision to provide and present the Norwegian fish oil is not a chaotic and spontaneous. My ten years of experience in marketing of pharmaceutical products does not allow me to undertake inconsiderate actions and to invest financial funds in a cause, in which I do not believe. Same experience and my observations on the strategies and schemes of marketing of health-related products, as well as my conscience, gave the idea of a new way of marketing of high-quality products. Yes, be sure I knew as of the day I started negotiations with Norwegian fish oil what kinds and types of fish oils have been presented on the market. But I also know lots of facts, which directly or indirectly give information how qualitative could be the omega 3 products seen each day in the pharmacy stores or how some quality products lost their effect due to carelessness or lack of knowledge of the people involved in the process – from production to the final consumer. Here are some examples:
- How do you think, what is the cost price and respectively the quality of some omega 3 product, being sold in the pharmacy for say 13 BGN per container, is sufficient for one month period, but the pharmacies receive for every 10 sold containers additionally four free of charge? You should also have in mind the fact that everybody involved in the process (manufacturer, distributor, pharmacist) has a profit. And this is one actual example from the everyday business.
- When you go into the pharmacy store and ask for being consulted by the pharmacist on some products, namely omega 3 (quality, price, quality/price ratio), you hope to receive tangible information, based on facts and knowledge. Do not be mistaken! Lots of pharmacies shall offer the product by which they have the highest profit. In Bulgaria, and probably in other parts of the world, health is business. The difference of the people in Bulgaria (including pharmacists and doctors in the healthcare sector) is that their quality of life is so poor, that some of them compromise with their conscience and health of the people just to secure their own subsistence. I remember that in the course of the negotiations to receive a preferential price for Bulgaria by Norwegian fish oil, I gave information to our partners for the minimal and average salary in the country as well as the schemes of trading with medicines and food supplements. Kim Torr, the general manager of Norwegian fish oil said: “Do not bother, You shall receive a unique product. Here, in Norway, the pharmacists are proud to provide it”. No comment on the latter.
- The fish oil oxidizes being put on light and heat, thus it has to be kept under appropriate conditions. Especially in the summer, in case of temperatures above 25 degrees, the oil must not stay for more than a day outside the refrigerator, otherwise it becomes ineffective. I prefer the storage of the Norwegian fish oil to be directly controlled by me, so we keep it only in our store. Providing the product to pharmacies for distribution is accompanies with a detailed explanation of why the Norwegian fish oil has to be kept at a temperature below 25 degrees. In case of incorrect storage, we shall revise our partnership with pharmacies which do not meet these criteria.

The fat soluble vitamins could be overdosed if taken in big amounts, unlike the water soluble (B and C) vitamins. You take the fat soluble vitamins with lots of other foods and if the fish oil is enriched with them you could take them in quantities, leading to hypervitaminosis and actual risks for the body. So, if you take omega 3 product, enriched with fat soluble vitamins, you should be restricted on the duration of taking the product, otherwise you risk hypervitaminosis. And as I said in an article in the Blog, the duration of taking is one of the factors for achieving a maximum good effect from the fish oil.[/fusion_text][fusion_separator style_type=”single solid” top_margin=”5″ bottom_margin=”25″ sep_color=”” border_size=”” icon=”” icon_circle=”” icon_circle_color=”” width=”” alignment=”center” class=”” id=”” /][fusion_title hide_on_mobile=”small-visibility,medium-visibility,large-visibility” class=”” id=”” content_align=”left” size=”3″ font_size=”” line_height=”” letter_spacing=”” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=”10″ margin_top_mobile=”” margin_bottom_mobile=”” text_color=”” style_type=”none” sep_color=””]For how long should I take Norwegian fish oil?[/fusion_title][fusion_text columns=”” column_min_width=”” column_spacing=”” rule_style=”default” rule_size=”” rule_color=”” hide_on_mobile=”small-visibility,medium-visibility,large-visibility” class=”” id=””]The main aim of taking the Norwegian fish oil is providing the body with the necessary omega 3 levels, in quantities, leading to balance with the omega 6 fatty acids. We receive omega 6 fatty acids constantly with food, but omega 3 are of short supply in modern nutrition, so the profits of taking preventive dosages of fish oil are also constant. Lots of omega 3 supplements on the market are enriched with vitamins E or A, even with D vitamin, thus restricting the period of taking these supplements, but that could not be said for the Norwegian fish oil with lemon flavour and Norwegian fish oil – high concentrated capsules. The most widespread recommendation for taking the fish oil “two times per year for three months each time” should be accepted rather as a minimum.[/fusion_text][fusion_separator style_type=”single solid” top_margin=”5″ bottom_margin=”25″ sep_color=”” border_size=”” icon=”” icon_circle=”” icon_circle_color=”” width=”” alignment=”center” class=”” id=”” /][fusion_title hide_on_mobile=”small-visibility,medium-visibility,large-visibility” class=”” id=”” content_align=”left” size=”3″ font_size=”” line_height=”” letter_spacing=”” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=”10″ margin_top_mobile=”” margin_bottom_mobile=”” text_color=”” style_type=”none” sep_color=””]Is the Norwegian fish oil appropriate for kids?[/fusion_title][fusion_text columns=”” column_min_width=”” column_spacing=”” rule_style=”default” rule_size=”” rule_color=”” hide_on_mobile=”small-visibility,medium-visibility,large-visibility” class=”” id=””]The Norwegian fish oil is pure and natural fish oil, with only omega 3 fatty acids, being the biologically active ingredients. Due to the European Food Safety Authority taking up to 5 gr daily of omega 3 fatty acids (EPA + DHA) is proved safe both for adults and kids. So, both of the products Norwegian fish oil with lemon flavour and Norwegian fish oil – high concentrated capsules are suitable for kids. The reason why the Norwegian fish oil – high concentrated capsules is not recommended for kids is that the capsules, having 1000 mg omega 3 fatty acids, are big and could be difficult for the kids to swallow. The most appropriate product for them is the Norwegian fish oil with lemon flavour.[/fusion_text][fusion_separator style_type=”single solid” top_margin=”5″ bottom_margin=”25″ sep_color=”” border_size=”” icon=”” icon_circle=”” icon_circle_color=”” width=”” alignment=”center” class=”” id=”” /][fusion_title hide_on_mobile=”small-visibility,medium-visibility,large-visibility” class=”” id=”” content_align=”left” size=”3″ font_size=”” line_height=”” letter_spacing=”” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=”10″ margin_top_mobile=”” margin_bottom_mobile=”” text_color=”” style_type=”none” sep_color=””]Norwegian fish oil with lemon flavour freezes in the freezer. Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids lower the temperature of freezing, as the effect of the polyunsaturated fatty acids is stronger. As a result, lots of products in which the concentration of omega 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids is additionally increased, do not freeze in the freezer. For example, the oil in the capsules of the Norwegian fish oil – high concentrated, does not freeze in the freezer. But that does not mean such products are “authentic” and the others are not, or they are purer than the others. You could see, when examining the quantities, given on the label, that the Norwegian fish oil – lemon flavour Syrup could provide the necessary percentage of omega 3 fatty acids, although as a per cent of the total amount of the product, they are less than in the Norwegian fish oil – high concentrated capsules.
